You’ll be greeted by the Studio One startup when you first open the software. It’s one of the most diverse startup pages of any DAW, including up-to-date information from the News Feed and Demos and Tutorials tabs.<\/p>\n

You’ll also find Recent Files, Songs, Projects, and access to your personal Artist Profile and even Soundcloud account if you choose to link it!<\/p>\n

Creating a New Song<\/h5>\n

One of the easiest ways to start a new project in Studio One is to click the Create a New Song button in the upper lefthand portion of the startup window.<\/p>\n

Another window will open letting you change different session settings, like sample rate and bit depth, tempo, time signature, and more. You’ll also have the very handy ability to check a box called “Stretch audio files to song tempo,” which automatically fits audio into the song’s tempo.<\/p>\n

What’s great about Studio One is it also lets you select from a list of integrated hardware when creating a new session. In Carlo’s demo, he’s using the PreSonus Quantum 2 interface and makes this selection for his session. When the new project opens, it will load with a Quantum 2 preset including 4 audio tracks and 2 reverb and delay busses.<\/p>\n
