I consider Bob Marlette my guru. I think that this is the last producer I will ever work with. That’s the honest truth. He’s just so amazing and incredible.

– Richard Patrick (Nine Inch Nails, Filter)

For a long time I struggled to get everything to and sit well together in a dense mix, however after watching this tutorial I identified he problem areas in my mixes and I was able to go back and fix them. My confidence has grown leaps and bounds as a mixer.

After only a few months of being a Pro Mix student, my mixes are sounding much better and far more professional. The songs have grown my portfolio and I’m finding more and more work as a mixer.

Absolutely. We’ve included both the raw mixes as well as the finished masters, so you can study them or Master them yourself!

No way! While we do use Pro Tools, in today’s world of DAW’s, there is no “correct” choice. The concepts and techniques that we teach will apply to any major DAW like Logic, Ableton, Cubase, Reaper, Fruity Loops, Studio One and other similar platforms. All of these DAWs have great stock plugins, which can do just as much as Protools stock plugins.

Mixing In The Box with Phil Allen covers a Pop/Rock song, but your can apply the techniques and concepts he is teaching in this course across all genres.

No, this course is especially designed to teach you how you can use the plugins that you already own to get better sounding mixes. We are teaching concepts, techniques and thought processes that can be used with any DAW or plugin.

This course is designed to give you an UNDERSTANDING of the mixing process. Rather than teaching a bunch of techniques that only apply to specific source material, Cameron teaches you what to listen for and how you can achieve the desired results regardless of the DAW and plugins you own. Second, Cameron is a world class Producer & Engineer, and doesn’t only teach you the technical, but draws from his vast experience to teach his mixing philosophy and how to work with bands and artists.
