Maria Elisa Ayerbe is a Colombian audio engineer and producer who has worked for GRAMMY and Latin Grammy nominated albums, with more than 14 years of experience in recording, mixing, post production, and music production. Maria Elisa has been part of the musical productions for artists such as Mary J Blige, New kids on the Block, Ricky Martin, Marc Anthony, Natti Natasha, Laura Pausini, Juanes, Kronos Quartet, Nashville Symphony, Bogota Philharmonic Orchestra, New World Symphony, among many others.
Maria Elisa has been recognized by the Latin Recording Academy® with the Leading Ladies of Entertainment honor in 2019, for her outstanding performance as a professional and socially conscious woman within the arts and entertainment fields, inspiring the next generation of female leaders.
In 2016, Maria Elisa created the independent label South Mountain Music, as a platform to develop and produce inspiring music from upcoming and talented Latin America artists. She currently serves as Board Governor and Chair for the Producers and Engineers Wing of the Recording Academy, Florida Chapter, and she is an active member of female empowering organizations such as She Is The Music, Women in Music, Soundgirls, and more.
Since 2007, Maria Elisa has worked as university professor teaching several courses related with audio and music in Colombia, Tennessee, and Florida. She has moderated and participated in panels and discussions for LAMC, Grammy U, Music Expo, IMSTA Fest, and The Recording Academy, among many others in past years.
